 KOMAL TANEJA was born in AMRITSAR (PUNJAB, INDIA), her father Late Col. GURDIP SINGH, was a Through, Disciplinarian and Perfectionist served the INDIAN ARMY and mother Mrs. GURMEET KAUR an efficient and unbeatable housewife from whom she has inherited the fine art of cooking and being a perfectionist in whatever she does. She graduated as a Delhi University Topper in B.sc Botany (Hons.) and is a registered pharmacist, but her real passion is in experimenting with unconventional combinations of ingredients to innovate and create exquisite recipes. She is an upcoming, innovative and outstanding food and cookery author and is well known for her television shows - KUCH KITCHEN SE on SAHARA SAMAY and open line cookery questionnaire on SAHARA NCR. She teaches cookery courses and also acts as a Food Consultant to caterers and restaurateurs. Komal has experimented boldly with the concept of new ideas and streamlined recipes to suit today's fast paced life. She is married to BHUPINDER S. TANEJA has two sons RAJ KANWAR and ANMOL KANWAR and lives in NEW DELHI.
