Agra celebrates many Fairs and Festivals. As most of the people are Muslims, the main festivals are Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, and Muharrum with congregational prayers. Agra is also popular for its Id Melas and the colorful Tazias taken out on Muharram.

One of the popular festivals in Agra include Tours to Taj Mahotsav festival, held in Shilpgram about 1km from the easten gate of Taj.On the occasion of this festival in Agra, you will find cultural vibrant platform that brings together the finest Indian crafts and cultural nuances. Enjoy the folk music, shayari, classical dance performances, elephant, and camel rides at this festival of Agra. A food festival, is also organized, the event is a celebration of traditional Indian art forms and crafts. The festivities are organized by UP Tourism Department. This festival of Agra is held in the month of February.

The festivities commence with a spectacular procession with bedecked elephants and camels, drum beaters, folk artists and master craftsmen all help to recreate a visual delight reminiscent of the golden era of the Mughal Darbars. Bateshwar Fair is a month-long festival held annually during the month of November at a place called Bateshwar, which is situated at a distance of 65 km from Agra.
