Day 02: Delhi - Ahmedabad
On day 2 of your Explore Rajasthan Tribes tour, the Indian Horizons representative takes you on an exciting tour of Delhi. Visit the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat, Qutub Minar and the Laxmi Narayan Temple. You also drive past the magnificent India Gate, the Parliament House and the Supreme Court.
Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner. After relaxing awhile, drive to the New Delhi railway station to board the overnight Rajdhani Express to Ahmedabad, India.
Day 03: Ahmedabad - Dungarpur
You arrive at the Ahmedabad railway station where our Indian Horizons representative greets you in traditional style. You drive to Dungarpur in Rajasthan, India where our representative helps you check in at the heritage hotel Udai Bilas Palace. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Dungarpur
The Explore Rajasthan Tribes tour offers you a window to Dungarpur, which is an enchanting collage of primitive social practices and customs of the Bhils, Bishnois and other tribes that inhabit this part of Rajasthan. You get to visit the Dungarpur Fort and enjoy sighting wild animals like deer and rare birds as you tour the Bishnoi hamlets. The Bishnoi's of Rajasthan are famous for their love for nature and they can never tolerate outsiders hunting or felling trees. You spend the night at the Udai Bilas heritage hotel.
Day 05: Dungarpur - Udaipur
You are treated to a delicious traditional breakfast before driving to Udaipur, famously referred to as the 'City of Lakes'. Founded by Maharana Udai Singhji in 1567, Udaipur is a beautiful city that captivates you with its serene lakes, exquisite monuments and well-laid lawns. You check in at a hotel on arrival where you relax awhile and set out on a guided tour to some of the most famous attractions like the Saheliyon ki Bari, Moti Magri, City Palace Complex, Lake Palace and the Jagdish Temple. You return for an overnight stay at your hotel in Udaipur.
Day 06: Udaipur - Ghanerao
On day 6 of your Explore Rajasthan Tribes Tour, drive to Ghanerao and visit the tourist attractions of Kumbhalgarh en route. On arrival, you check in at the Royal Castle Ghanerao heritage hotel. Home to some of the most colorful tribes, Ghanerao is a captivating experience for everyone. You also get to visit some of the old temples and monuments in Ghanerao before returning for an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 07: Ghanerao - Narlai
Have a grand breakfast before driving to Narlai. You check in at the Rawla Narlai, a 17th century fortress that has been converted into a luxurious heritage hotel. After resting awhile, set out to enjoy the local attractions of Narlai. You will also love watching local silversmiths at work as you explore the place. Besides, you can go on an adventurous trek along the Aravalli trails and explore ancient caves and interesting sculptures that dot the hillside. Stay overnight at the hotel in Narlai.
Day 08: Narlai - Sodawas
On day 8, our Indian Horizons representative takes you on a tour of the local shrines of Narlai including the ancient Shiva temple. Drive to Sodawas later in the afternoon. On arrival at Sodawas, our representative helps you check in at the heritage hotel Sodawa Kot. As you explore the beautiful mustard fields that surround the place, try a ride on a bullock cart and enjoy watching the villagers as they go about giving shape to some exquisite crafts. Day 09: Sodawas - Rohet
You drive to enchanting Rohet in the morning. On arrival, our Indian Horizons representative helps you check in at the Rohet Garh heritage hotel. Day 10: Rohet - Jodhpur
On day 10 of your Explore Rajasthan Tribes tour, you travel to the fascinating city of Jodhpur, which was the royal bastion of the mighty rulers of Marwar. Check into the Ajit Bhawan hotel and after some rest set out on a tour to some of the famous attractions like the Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Come back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 11: Jodhpur - Jaipur
Day 11 takes you to the 'pink city' of Jaipur - the enchanting capital of Rajasthan, India. On arrival our Indian Horizons representative helps you check in at a heritage hotel for an overnight stay. Relax awhile and set out on a grand tour to the City Palace Complex, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort and the colorful Jaipur bazaars. You stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 12: Jaipur
