Day 02: In Delhi
After a scrumptious breakfast, morning will be at your leisure. Enjoy an exciting and memorable sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit the magnificent Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, India Gate and the Lotus Temple. Return to the hotel in the evening. After a delicious dinner, enjoy a colorful and entertaining cultural show. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast, we drive to Agra - the city of the Taj (approx. 4 hrs). En route stop awhile at Sikandra to see Emperor Akbar's Mausoleum- a beautiful sandstone and marble structure, representing a fine blend of Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Christian motifs and styles. Continue driving to Agra and check in at a hotel on arrival. After freshening up, enjoy a guided sightseeing of the magnificent Taj Mahal, a symbol of eternal romance, and perhaps the most beautiful monument in the world. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Agra.
Day 04: Agra - Jaipur
Today, wake up early to enjoy an early morning visit to the fascinating Taj Mahal. The Taj looks extremely enchanting at sunrise when it changes its color from a light pink to white. Later, visit the magnificent 16th century Agra Fort. A UNESCO world heritage site, the red sandstone fort houses many fairy-tale palaces- Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, and audience halls- Diwan-e-Khas and Diwan-e-Aam.
Thereafter, we drive to Jaipur, en route visiting the 16th century town of Fatehpur Sikri, famous for its towering Bulund Darwaza (Gate of Magnificence), and the Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti, a great Sufi saint of India. Continue driving to Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan. Arrive at Jaipur and check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05: Jaipur
After a scrumptious breakfast, you start for a memorable sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Enjoy an exciting elephant ride up to the majestic 17th century Amber Fort. Located on the outskirts of the pink city, Amber Fort represents a fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture, in red sandstone and white marble. Thereafter visit the Jantar Mantar- the Royal Observatory famous for its astonishing medieval astronomical instruments. Also see the enchanting City Palace and Museum, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the beautiful Rambagh Palace, and walk-through the intricately carved havelis (mansions) of Jaipur. In the evening, enjoy a walking tour of the bustling streets and markets of Jaipur, which are full of exquisite handicrafts, embroidered textiles, paintings, and a profusion of mirror work. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 06: Jaipur - Khajuraho
After breakfast today, you will enjoy an exciting excursion to the fascinating medieval town of Sanganer, known for its ruined palaces and exquisitely carved Jain temples. See major attractions of Sanganer and also enjoy a traditional Rajasthani lunch. Later in the day, on time transfer to the Jaipur airport to board a flight to Khajuraho. On arrival at Khajuraho, you will be met and transferred to your for an overnight stay.
Day 07: Khajuraho
After a delicious breakfast, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of fascinating Khajuraho Temples. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 10th -11th century Khajuraho Temples are world-renowned for their erotic sculptures that present a fascinating picture of spiritual and physical love.
