Destinations: Delhi- Agra - Bharatpur- Delhi
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On your arrival at the Delhi airport, you will be met by the Indian Horizons executive and transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Just relax at the hotel and get acclimatized, or explore the nearby places of interest.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Agra - Bharatpur
After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Agra - the city of the Taj (203km-4 ½ hrs) to reach there by noon. Arrive at Agra and visit the world-renowned Taj Mahal and the magnificent Agra Fort.
Thereafter, we proceed to Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary at Bharatpur (65km-1hr), en-route visiting the deserted 16th century Mughal town of Fatehpur Sikri. At Fatehpur Sikri, you will see the famous Bulund Darwaza (the highest gateway in the world) and the Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti- a renowned Sufi saint of India.
Arrive at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and check into the Forest Lodge/Resort. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Lodge/ Resort at Bharatpur.
Day 03: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
Get up early in the morning to enjoy an exciting bird watching on foot or by a boat ride through the marshes in the company of your naturalist. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a rickshaw or a bicycle ride to explore the rich and diverse avifauna of the park.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Lodge/ Resort at Bharatpur.
Day 04: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
Enjoy the 2nd full day of bird watching in the sanctuary, as just one day is not enough to explore the park fully. Spot a wide variety of birds and wildlife that never fail to impress its visitors.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Lodge/ Resort at Bharatpur.
Day 05: Bharatpur - Delhi - Tour Concludes
After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a morning visit to the park. Later, we drive back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, you will be transferred to the airport/railway station for your onward destination or way back home as per your choice.
