Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On arrival at the Delhi airport, you will be met by the Indian Horizons representatives and transferred to your hotel. Check in to the hotel and relax. Evening is free for relaxing and acclimatization.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Corbett
After breakfast at hotel, we drive to the world-renowned Corbett National Park. En route, stop at Ramnagar to look for the fabulous Ibisbill all along the riverside boulders.
Situated in the lap of the great Himalayas, Corbett is regarded as the most picturesque national park and tiger reserve of India. One of the greatest National Parks of Asia, Corbett is known for its rich and diverse wildlife and plants including an amazing variety of bird populations. Corbett is home to the majestic tigers, elephants, deer and a wide variety of birds, estimated to be over 600 species of birds.
Arrive at Corbett and check into the Forest Lodge/Resort and relax. Afternoon, proceed to Kosi riverbanks and look for Crested Kingfisher, Plumbous Redstart and Little Forktail. Return to your Forest Resort in the evening and relax at its restaurant. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Forest Lodge/Resort in Corbett.
Day 03: Corbett National Park
Enjoy a full day birding along the riverbanks and in the nearby lush surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Forest Lodge/Resort in Corbett.
Day 04: Corbett National Park
After breakfast at the Resort, enjoy a full day safari in the forest. Explore the exceptional natural beauty of Corbett and discover its rich flora and fauna, including a large variety of exotic birds.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Dhikala Rest House inside the Corbett National Park.
Day 05: Corbett National Park
Enjoy a full day birding in the park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Dhikala Rest House inside the Corbett National Park.
Day 06: Corbett National Park - Nainital
After breakfast at the guesthouse, we drive to Nainital enjoying breathtaking scenery on the way. Set besides the picturesque Naini Lake, at an altitude of 1,938 m in Central Himalayas, Nainital is one of the most beautiful Hill Stations of India. The region is full of lush valleys, velvety rolling meadows and small lakes.
Arrive Nainital by the late afternoon and check in at the Resort. After freshening up enjoy an evening birding around the Resort. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Resort in Nainital.
Day 07: Nainital
After breakfast at the resort, enjoy full day birding in and around Nainital. Take a nature walk in the surrounding lush forests and fields looking for resident and migrant mountain birds such as Red Flanked Bluetail, Streaked Laughing Thrush, Altai Accentor and Golden Bush Robin etc.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Resort in Nainital.
Day 08: Nainital - Mukteshwar
After breakfast at the resort, we proceed to Mukteshwar, 52 km from Nainital. Situated at an altitude of 2, 286 m, Mukteshwar is famous for its IVRI campus, stunning views of the Himalayas and lush forests with a rich variety of exotic birds. Spot a wide variety of birds in the area for the rest of the day.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in a beautiful mountain resort in Mukteshwar.
Day 09: Mukteshwar - Delhi
Enjoy an early morning birding around the resort. After breakfast, we proceed for Delhi by surface. Arrive Delhi and check in at hotel and relax.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 10: Delhi - Ranthambore
After breakfast, transfer to the railway station for train to Sawai Madhopur. On arrival at Sawai Madhopur you will be met and transferred to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Arrive Ranthambore and check in at the Forest Lodge/Resort. Evening free at leisure. Relax at the resort or watch some interesting slides on the tiger.
Located amidst picturesque surroundings of the Aravallis and Vindhyas mountain ranges, Ranthambore Tiger Reserve is perhaps the best place in the world to sight a tiger in the own natural habitat. The Ranthambore National Park also shelters over 275 species of birds including Woodpeckers, Indian Gray Hornbills, Kingfishers, Bee Eaters, Cuckoos, Pelicans, Storks, Parakeets, Snipes, Sandpipers, Terns, Eagles, Darters, Cormorants, Egrets, Herons, Flamingos, Ibis, Treepies, Orioles, Cuckoo-Shrikes, Minivets, Drongos, Flycatchers, Wagtails, Munias, Bulbul, Mynas and Falcons to name a few.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Forest Lodge/Resort in Ranthambore.
Day 11: Ranthambore National Park
Enjoy full day Tiger Safaris and Birding inside the lush forests of Ranthambore National Park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Forest Lodge/Resort in Ranthambore.
Day 12: Ranthambore - Bharatpur
After breakfast at the resort, we drive to the world-famous Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
Also known as the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Bharatpur is home to over 375 species of birds including the world-renowned Siberian Cranes, who are special guests of the park during winters. Situated at just 60 km from Agra- the city of the Taj Mahal, Bharatpur is also a World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO. Popularly referred as the "Ornithologists Paradise," the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a heaven for waterfowl, ducks, herons, painted storks, open bills, spoonbills, egrets, cormorants, white ibis and birds of prey.
Arrive at Bharatpur and check in at the hotel/resort. After freshening up take an exciting Rickshaw ride for bird watching. The Rickshaw drivers have been trained by the forest department and can be quite helpful in bird watching in the park. Return to the lodge in the evening and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Forest Lodge/Resort in Bharatpur.
Day 13: Bharatpur - Agra
Enjoy an early morning Rickshaw Ride to explore the rich bird life of the park. Return for breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter enjoy the second round of birding in the sanctuary.
In the evening, we drive to Agra- the city of the Taj Mahal (65km-1hr). Agra had been the capital of Mughal India for about a century and the city is known for its architectural masterpieces, including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah.
Arrive Agra and check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel in Agra.
Day 14: Agra - Umaria (Bandhavgarh)
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a memorable visit to the Taj Mahal on a battery van. The 17th century Taj Mahal, the symbol of eternal love and romance, is perhaps the most beautiful historic monument in the world. Later visit the magnificent 16th century Agra Fort and the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah, which's interiors are considered better than the Taj.
In the afternoon, on time transfer to railway station to board an overnight train to Umaria. Dinner and overnight will be onboard the train.
Day 15: Bandhavgarh National Park
Early morning arrival at Umaria and transfer to the Bandhavgarh National Park. Arrive and check into the Forest Lodge/Resort.
Set amidst breathtakingly beautiful surroundings of the Vindhya hills in Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh is one of the finest national parks and tiger reserves of India. Spread over an area of just 437sq km, the park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including a large number of Tigers. Bandhavgarh National Park also shelters over 250 species of birds including Bee-eaters, Blossom-Headed Parakeets, Drongos, Common Teal, Crested Serpent Eagle, Grey Hornbill, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Little Grebes, Lesser Adjutants, Lesser Whistling Teal, Minivets, Pied Hornbill, Paradise Flycatchers, Peafowl, Red Jungle Fowl, Red Wattled Lapwing, Steppe Eagle, Tickell's Flycatcher, White-eyed Buzzard, White-breasted Kingfisher, White-browed Fantail Flycatcher, Wood shrikes and Warblers to name a few.
After freshening up, enjoy a full day of birding inside the jungle (Two safaris). Dinner and overnight stay will be at the resort.
Day 16: Bandhavgarh National Park
Enjoy a full day birding inside the jungle and on its periphery (Two safaris). Also enjoy an exciting trek to the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort, situated at an altitude of approx. 800 meters. Here you can see a 12-meter long statue of Lord Vishnu and three 12th century temples.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the resort.
Day 17: Bandhavgarh - Kanha
After breakfast at the resort, we drive to Kanha National Park.
Described for its exceptional natural beauty by RUDYARD KIPLING in his great work "The Jungle Book," Kanha National Park is one of the finest national parks and tiger reserves of India. Stretching on an area of over 940 sq km amidst breathtaking surroundings of lush mountains and valleys, Kanha is home to an amazing variety of wildlife that includes the rare and endangered white tigers, Indian fox, sloth bear, striped hyenas, leopards, mouse deer, chausingha (four horned antelope), nilgai and porcupines to name a few. The park also shelters over 200 species of birds including water birds. Visitors can spot a wide variety of birds in Kanha including Drongos, Eagles, Peacocks, Golden Orioles, Treepies, Storks, White-eyed Buzzards, Parakeets, Red Munia, Barbets, Woodpeckers, Common Teals, and Pintail Ducks etc.
Arrive Kanha and check into the Forest Resort and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Resort.
Day 18: Kanha National Park
After breakfast at the resort, you will enjoy full day of game viewing inside Kanha. Enjoy a thrilling morning and evening jungle safaris in the park and spot a wide variety of birds today, as we would take roads around the forest to those places not frequented by people and in the bushes.
Dinner and overnight will be at the Forest Resort in Kanha.
Day 19: Kanha - Jabalpur - Delhi
Enjoy an exciting morning safari in Kanha and discover a variety of birds and wildlife. After lunch, we proceed to Jabalpur by road. Arrive Jabalpur and board an overnight train to Delhi.
Day 20: Delhi
Morning arrival at Delhi. Reach and check into hotel for the day. After freshening up, enjoy an exciting excursion to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary with packed lunch for some afternoon birding.
In the evening return to Delhi, and after a FAREWELL DINNER you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to onward destination or way back home with sweet memories of India Bird Paradise Tour.
