Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

Sprawled over an expanse of 14 acres, the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary besides being home to some of the most rare endangered and unique wildlife is also a major tourist attraction in Kerala. Resting on the banks of Vembanad Lake in Kumarakom, the sanctuary is famous for its varied avian population.
