Day 01: Arrival in Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and get escorted by Indian Horizon representative to your hotel. Check in at the hotel and get a warm welcome. Have an overnight stay at Delhi. Here ends the first day of your North India with Rajasthan Tour.

Day 02: Delhi

Second day of your North India with Rajasthan Tour exploring New Delhi accompanied by an Indian Horizons Guide. Visit India Gate, a war memorial for those who dies in World War I. Then visit Rajpath, Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the president of India. Also, visit Qutab Minar and spend some soothing time in the beautiful Lodi Gardens. Then drive to Humayun’s Tomb and Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia. Check out the handicrafts at Dilli Haat and then return to the Imperial’s Spice Route for dinner. Have an overnight dinner in Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi

On this day of your North India with Rajasthan Tour, you will explore Old Delhi, also known as Shajahanabad in the company of an Indian Horizons guide. Visit Lal Quila, also known as the Red Fort and Jama Masjid, both of them built by Shah Jahan. Pay a visit to the Gauri Shankar Temple, Sisganj Gurudwara, the spot where Guru Tegh Bahadur was beheaded by Aurangzeb. You will also love visiting Sunehri and Fatehpuri masjids. Then go on a shopping spree at Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh and Kinaari Bazaar. Have an overnight stay at Delhi.

Day 04: Delhi - Varanasi

Board the flight to Varanasi, known for its ghats on the Holy Ganges. Counted as one of the holiest Indian pilgrimage sites, Varansi is a home to Lord Shiva. Arrive at Varanasi and check in at the hotel. Then at evening take a boat cruise and watch the sunset. Head to Dasashwamedh Temple and watch Ganga Aarti that lasts for 45 minutes. After that, you will visit the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Then have a peaceful time by hiring a car and visiting Sarnath, where Buddha first revealed his Eightfold Path to Nirvana. Explore the archaeological ruins, monasteries and temples at Sarnath. Have an overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 05: Varanasi - Khajuraho

Fifth day of your North India with Rajasthan Tour begins with a morning breakfast. In the afternoon, you will board a flight back to Khajuraho. Arrive at Khajuraho and then check in at the hotel. Proceed to either the Eastern or Southern group of temples accompanied with an Indian Horizons representative. Have an overnight stay at Khajuraho.

Day 06: Khajuraho

Spend the day exploring Khajuraho in the company of an Indian Horizons guide. Khajuraho is famous worldwide for its erotic sculptures, images and paintings. Visit the temples as soon as the Western Group of temples opens at sunrise to avoid crowd of tourists. You won’t fail admiring the beautifully sculpted animals, nymphs and gods. Also, visit Eastern and Southern Groups and end your day with a 50-minute sound-and-light show held at sharp 6:30pm. Get to know about the history of Khajuraho watching this show. Have an overnight stay in Khajuraho.

Day 07: Khajuraho - Orchha

Go on a morning drive to Orchha, which was once a royal citadel of Raja Rudra Pratap. Counted as one of the most fascinating Mughal heritage sites lying on the rocky island on the Betwa River. Founded in 1531, Orchha was the capital of the Bundela kings till 1738. Arrive at Orchha and check in at the hotel. Then visit the Palace Complex, three beautiful temples and 14 Cenotaphs. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at Orchha.

Day 08: Orchha – Jhansi - Agra

Having breakfast, drive to Jhansi and board the train to Agra. Arrive in Agra and check in to the hotel. After visiting the wonderful Taj Mahal, go on a visit to the famous city of Fatehpur Sikri and explore the Tombs of Itmad-ud-Daulah and Akbar. Also visit the Agra Fort. Enjoy a fabulous night stay at the luxurious Oberoi’s Amarvilas that offers enchanting view of Taj Mahal from all room windows. Shah Jahan built Taj Mahal as a token of love for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Have an overnight stay at Agra.

Day 09: Agra

Spend the 9th day of your North India with Rajasthan Tour exploring Agra with an Indian Horizons guide. Have an overnight stay in Agra.

Day 10: Agra - Jaipur

Post breakfast proceed on a morning drive to Jaipur. Arrive at Jaipur and check in at the hotel. Explore the majestic City Palace, Amber Fort and Samode Palace, located at an hour’s distance from Jaipur. Then enjoy going on a shopping spree in Jaipur, a bargain hunter’s paradise. Have an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 11: Jaipur - Pushkar

Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon after having lunch, proceed towards the holy temple town of Pushkar. On your way visit Dargah Sharif, one of the top attractions of Ajmer. Then grab your “Pushkar Passport” and rest assure of being free from further harassment by priests. Have an overnight stay at Pushkar.

Day 12: Pushkar – Jodhpur - Deogarh

Proceed to explore Pushkar early morning. Counted among the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus that has the only Temple of Lord Brahma, Pushkar is surrounded by a sacred lake, called Pushkar Lake. It takes only 45 minutes to walk around the holy lake. After exploring Pushkar proceed to Jodhpur. Arrive at Jodhpur and head for a half-day sightseeing tour and visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort and Museum. Also visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace that was built by Maharaja Umaid Singh. Then have a meal at The Pillars Restaurant and after that move on to Rawla Narlai or to Deogarh Mahal for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Deogarh – Udaipur

Spend the morning at Rawla Narlai or Deogarh Mahal. Then proceed to Udaipur and on your way stop to Ranakpur Temples. Have an overnight stay at Lake Palace, if Lake Pichola is dazzling with water. If you have time, then take a sunset cruise on the beautiful lake. In case the lake is dry, better stay at Devi Garh, located 45 minutes outside Udaipur. Have an overnight stay at Udaipur.

Day 14: Udaipur

Have fun exploring Udaipur with an Indian Horizons guide. Visit the City Palace and Museum. Also pay visits at the temples at Nathdwara and Eklingji. You can even choose to spend the rest of the day lounging around the pool. Have an overnight stay at Udaipur.

Day 15: Udaipur – Delhi

Last day of your North India with Rajasthan Tour starts with morning spree in Udaipur’s local bazaars. You can even choose to relax at Devi Garh Pool before boarding the afternoon flight to Delhi. Try buying some souvenirs and gifts before returning. Then board the flight back home. Here ends your North India with Rajasthan Tour.
