Exploring the sprawling 14 acres in a canoe amidst the chirrups and trills of the avians is undoubtedly a fascinating experience. The gushing Aruvikkuzhi Waterfall is surrounded by rubber plantations and sedimentary rocky outcrops. The alluring cascade is a favourite among wander lust travelers, nature lovers and trekking enthusiasts. Its luxuriant green foliage and sparkling meandering streams plunging over the rocks are mesmerising. The Bay Island Driftwood Museum founded by Raji Punnoose, a school-teacher in Andaman and Nicobar Islands displays innovative and artistic modern art sculptures made of driftwood comprising of twisted tree trunks, stumps, roots, etc.  Other Points of Interest are Pathiramanal, Thirunakkara Mahadeva Temple, Aymanam Village, Juma Masjid.

  1. Day 1Cochin (Kochi) - Cochin (Kochi) 

    Upon arrival at the Cochin airport, you will be met by the Indian Horizons representative, who will escort and transfer you to the hotel.

    Overnight in the hotel at Cochin.

  2. Day 2Cochin (Kochi) - Cochin (Kochi) 

    After breakfast proceed on a sightseeing tour with Indian Horizons guide.

    You explore the fascinating Portuguese town, where you visit the Fort Cochin, Jewish Synagogue and Spice markets.

    Later, Indian Horizons would organize a Kathakali Dance performance for you.

    Before the performance you will taken to the green room where you can see the dancers dressing up for the performance. The dressing up for the Kathakali is the most exciting and important part of the dance. You would see the dancers applying natural colors to their face, hands and feet. Indian Horizons guide would brief you about the traditional dance.

  3. Day 3Kumarakom - Kumarakom 

    In the morning proceed to Kumarakom by road.

    Kumarakom is the gateway to the backwaters of Kerala.

    Upon arrival check into the backwater resort,  spend the day at leisure. Indian Horizons recommend an Ayurvedic Massage at the resort to relax and rejuvenate.

  4. Day 4Kumarakom - Kumarakom 

    The day is free to relax at the backwater resort.

    Indulge in Ayurvedic Massage or a nature walk

    Overnight in the backwater resort at Kumarakom.

  5. Day 5Kumarakom - Periyar 

    Drive to Periyar after breakfast.

    Upon arrival check into the hotel

    In the afternoon head for the spice plantation tour with Indian Horizons guide.The tour will be followed by a boat ride on the Periyar Lake. During the boat ride you will be able to spot wild animals. You can see various animals simply grazing, drinking or bathing in the lake.

    Overnight in the hotel at Periyar.

  6. Day 6Periyar  

    In the morning enjoy boat ride on the Periyar Lake.

    You may come across a herd of elephants making merry in the lake.

    Later return to the Cochin airport to take  flight back home.
