Situated just 40 km from Munnar – Marayoor is a pristine woodland that is also famous for its Neolithic Era rock paintings and dolmens. These cave paintings depict the legendary wandering of 'Lord Rama and Sita' and the 'Pandavas' inside the caves. The view of this historic treat set against the green backdrop of the valley is indeed a sight to behold! The scenic Pamber River that flows through Marayoor enhances the unspoiled natural allure of the environ. Perched at a breathtaking elevation, the Kolukkumalai Tea Estate offers a resplendent view of the surrounding area. Lush green acres of aromatic tea plantations are surely a tea-lover’s cup of tea!
